Lets be real program

Grades 4-12; Price on request

“Real Beauty: Uncovered” provides schools with a comprehensive “Let’s Be Real” educational program, designed to help students develop an authentic sense of their own beauty and value regardless of society’s constraints and peer pressure. It promotes the understanding that beauty comes from within. “Real Beauty: Uncovered” challenges students to accept themselves for who they really are. Through conversation they learn the lesson of self-acceptance, students are given the tools to boost their confidence, deal with bulling, eating disorders, and appreciate others as well.   This program is made up of a series of classes for students, an interview/ photography session and a culminating event for students and the community as a whole.

Beyond the photos we will use an experiential approach where students will receive tools and understandings that promotes acceptance, resilience, and authenticity in their character.

Through mindful conversation, journaling, and collaborative art projects the students will learn self-expression,deep connections, compassion, and responsible decision making.

Programs format range from 2 to 6 weeks optional depending upon your needs.

Testimonial

“What a wonderful and inspirational program! “Let’s Be Real” moved both the students and the staff!” Says E. Angelo’s, a Prevention Specialist at Eastside High in Paterson

The Real Beauty: Uncovered Project was very successful at Morristown High School. We did it in conjunction with our spring musical, Legally Blonde, to emphasize how important inner beauty is in a world that puts too much value in the superficial. Dani is an incredible person with great skill at working with teenagers. In a very short period of time, she get them to be honest and introspective and to cut through the veneers of life in order to see the true beauty they hold within. I would highly recommend Dani and the Real Beauty Project for your high school, if you’re looking for something game-changing for your school community. The project is excellent and it will truly change the perspectives and lives of the students who participate. – Michael Maguire, Morristown High School Technology Education Teacher And Theatre Artistic Director
